Of course we are not neutral, because this is our own website. That is why we do not give you a sales pitch below, but a checklist you can use to compare any children's photographer, including us. That way you make a choice you are happy with.
How do you recognise a good children's photographer?
- Calm and time. Children cannot be rushed. A good photographer does not work against the clock and follows your child's pace.
- Experience with your child's age. A baby, a toddler and a pre-schooler need a different approach. Ask how many children of your child's age the photographer has already photographed.
- Natural photos. Check whether the children in the examples really laugh and play, instead of only posing neatly.
- Clear prices. You want to know in advance what a shoot costs, how many photos are included and what extra photos cost.
- Clear agreements. Think of the deposit, cancelling, delivery time and how long your photos are kept.
- Personal contact. You want someone who answers your questions before the shoot, not only afterwards.
- A pleasant place. A studio where everything is ready is calm and predictable. A location is relaxing if your child feels most at ease in their own surroundings.

- On location: all edited photos (75+), delivered on USB and 8 printed photos, for €350.
- We take our time. A kids shoot takes about 60 minutes on average, and with a shy or busy child we simply take longer.

Good to know: a request is not a booking yet. We contact you via WhatsApp within 24 hours to go through everything. Your shoot is only definite once a day and time are set and the deposit is paid.
What age is a kids shoot for?
A kids shoot is for children from toddlers up to school age. If your little one is still very small, look at a New Life shoot. If your child turns 1, a cake smash is often a wonderful memory. For the whole family there is the family shoot.
How to prepare your child
- Choose a time your child is usually cheerful, often after a nap.
- Plan the shoot after the nap and make sure your child is not hungry and not too full.
- Bring spare clothes and a cuddly toy or favourite toy.

Our studio is in The Hague (ABC Westland 259, 2685 DC), but our clients really come from all over the country: from Apeldoorn, Groningen, Utrecht, Rotterdam, Amsterdam and everywhere in between, and also from Belgium. Many families turn it into a day out. A kids shoot takes about 60 minutes on average and we take our time, so there is no need to rush.
