What do you learn in one day?
A day full of practice, indoors in the studio where Arda works every day and outdoors in daylight.
- Seeing and shaping lightDaylight and studio light: where the light comes from, how soft or hard it is and what that does to your photo.
- Mastering your cameraAperture, shutter speed, ISO and focusing, so you decide how your photo looks.
- Composition and backgroundHow you build an image, what you leave out and how the background strengthens your subject.
- Putting people at easeGiving directions, natural poses and working with children and families.
- Working in a real studioYou practise with arches, curtains and sets like we use for our shoots.
- Photographing outdoorsWe also go outside: working with daylight, shade and the surroundings as a backdrop.
- Editing photos in Adobe LightroomYou learn to work with software such as Adobe Lightroom: selecting photos, adjusting colour and light and producing a finished result.
Your teacher: Arda Genc
Arda Genc has been a photographer for more than ten years and is the founder of Photostudio62. He photographs pregnancies, babies, cake smash, children, families, weddings and business portraits.
What he does in practice every day, he passes on in the course: reading light, switching quickly and putting people at ease in front of the camera.

Indoors in our photo studio in Poeldijk (ABC Westland 259, 2685 DC), in the Westland near The Hague, and part of the day outdoors on location. Participants come from all over the Netherlands.
