What to wear to a photoshoot

Short answerChoose colours that go together without being identical, avoid large logos and loud prints, and wear something you feel good in. After booking you also receive personal clothing advice from us.

Choose a colour palette

Work with two to four colours that go together, for example sand, white, soft green and denim. The same colours in different shades look calmer than exactly the same outfit for everyone.

Patterns and logos

  • Small, subtle patterns usually work well.
  • Large logos, text and bright neon colours distract from faces.
  • Do not combine a striped sweater with a floral dress.

Comfort comes first

People who feel good look relaxed. Choose clothes that do not pinch or itch, especially for children. For a pregnancy shoot, stretchy, well-fitting dresses work well; see also pregnancy shoot: the best time.

Bring spare clothes

A second set for children is handy, especially for a cake smash with a bath. Iron everything the day before.
