Which dress to wear at a pregnancy shoot?

Short answerFor a pregnancy shoot choose a dress or outfit in soft, stretchy fabric that follows your bump, in a calm colour in which you feel good. Do not have anything suitable? You can borrow clothes free of charge from our client closet and you receive personal clothing advice after you book.

Choose a fabric that moves with you

Stretchy, soft fabrics such as jersey or stretch show your bump nicely without feeling tight. Dresses that fit from the chest or hip and then fall softly often look very beautiful.

Calm colours

Plain, calm colours such as white, cream, sand, soft pink or a deep earth tone look beautiful and let your bump play the leading role. Avoid large logos and busy prints.

Borrow clothes for free

Our client closet has clothes to borrow free of charge, also for pregnancy shoots. Read how it works in the client closet and feel free to bring something yourself.

And your partner and children?

Match the colours without everyone wearing the same thing. You can read more tips in what to wear to a photoshoot and in pregnancy shoot with partner and children.

Handy extra tips

  • Wear comfortable underwear without visible seams.
  • Iron or steam your clothes beforehand.
  • Bring your favourite shoes, or go barefoot, as you like.
