What is a gender reveal?
At a gender reveal, expecting parents announce whether they are having a boy or a girl. Often they only find out themselves at that moment. That first reaction lasts just a few seconds, which is why it's so good to have someone capture it well. All packages are on the page gender reveal.
When do you plan a gender reveal?
Plan the shoot as soon as the sex is known. Many parents hear it at the 20-week scan, others earlier at a private scan. The shorter the secret has to be kept, the easier. So book a date as soon as you know when the scan is.
Ideas that look great on camera
A good idea is simple and gives a clear moment of colour. A few examples:
- BalloonA large black balloon that pops, with pink or blue confetti inside.
- CakeA cake that looks neutral on the outside and is pink or blue on the inside.
- Envelope or boxA box you open together, with balloons floating up out of it.
- Big brother or sisterLet a big brother or sister reveal the secret, for example with a shirt or a sign.

Who keeps the secret?
Don't want to know yet yourselves? Ask for the result in a sealed envelope. Give it to someone who can keep the secret, like a friend or family member. They arrange the balloon, cake or confetti in the right colour.
Studio or on location?
- In the studio: calm, beautiful light and no worries about the weather. Ideal if you want to keep the moment small and personal.
- On location: outdoors or at a place that means something to you. There's also room for bigger ideas here.
Photo, video or both: the prices
- Photos in the studio: €250
- Photos on location: €350
- Video added to a photo package: €150 extra
- Video clip only in the studio: €295
- Video clip only on location: €350
