Choosing a wedding photographer: 7 questions to ask

Short answerChoose a wedding photographer based on style, a first meeting and clear agreements. Ask to see a complete example story, discuss the schedule of the day and have a tailor-made quote prepared.

1. Does the style suit you?

Do not only look at the best photos, but at a whole wedding from start to finish. That shows how a photographer handles light, emotion and group photos. You can find an example in our gallery.

2. Is there a first meeting?

You spend a whole day together. A short conversation beforehand shows whether it clicks. With us you then receive a no-obligation quote.

3. What does the day look like?

  • Do you want the whole day or part of it, such as the ceremony and portraits?
  • Which locations are there, and how much time is there for portraits?
  • Who is in the group photos?

4. Does the photographer also work outside their own region?

For weddings and special assignments we also work outside The Hague area, in the Netherlands and Belgium. Read more on the weddings.

5. What do you get, and when?

Ask about the number of photos, the editing, the format and the delivery time. Do you want prints or a wall photo? See the options under wall decoration.

6 and 7. Quote and agreements

A wedding is never the same, so the price is tailor-made. Agree on what the deposit is, what happens if things run late or the date changes, and who your contact person is. Request a no-obligation quote.
